Making Metro happen every Sunday!

Every Sunday, we have an amazing group of volunteers that regularly roll their sleeves up, put on a smile and work their hearts out to make sure that your Metro experience is one where you can walk away knowing that you met Jesus. These ministries include...

Frontline

Frontline are our superheros...after Jesus

Frontline are our superheros...after Jesus

This ministry team is, literally, the frontline. We’re the slightly wacky and goofy, but perfectly harmless, fun-loving peeps you’ll likely encounter first when you come to Metro Community Church. We are ambassadors, hosts…Metro’s welcome wagon!

What We Do

  • Hang banners, set up parking signs
  • Prepare, manage and break down the refreshments table
  • Fold, stuff and hand out Sunday worship bulletins
  • Coordinate parking
  • Greet, inform, direct people
  • Prepare and manage the info. table
  • Track Sunday attendance
  • Collect offering/communication cards
  • Break down all of the Frontline items at the end of third service

For more info about serving on Frontline, you can reach out to Christy Vinson at christy.vinson@emetro.org.

Setup & Breakdown

Set Up and Break Down might be one of the least glamorous ministries, but one of the most important at Metro. Since our church does not have our own building, we operate as a “mobile church”, and convert an empty Cafeteria at an elementary school into a sanctuary that our congregation can have church service in every Sunday.

The more people we have on this team, the quicker the job gets done! If you have a heart to serve and want to utilize those muscles (or you just like being very organized – it’s not just all about heavy lifting) – this is the ministry for you!

Setup starts at 7am sharp on Sundays. Breakdown starts after third service.

Ever wanted to get into television, but don't have any experience? Not to worry! Here at Metro, we have our very own multi-camera broadcasting setup that beams the Sunday service both online and to our Metro Nursery room.

Our team consists of five roles:

  1. Camera Operators
  2. Graphics Operators (similar to PowerPoint)
  3. Producers (who currently also direct and switches the video angle)
  4. Audio/visual Assistant and
  5. Sound Engineers

If you're interested in helping to bring Metro into the homes of those who can't make it to service; or for parents who need to attend their children in the Nursery - please don't hesitate to reach out our Director of Media & Communications, Timm Chartier, who can be reached at timm.chartier@emetro.org.
