The Best Bake For The Buck...
If you've been attending Metro over the last few weeks, you may have noticed a lot of baked goods on display and being sold in the hallway outside of the sanctuary.
In the weeks leading up to (and on) Mother's Day, our caring hands ministry - a branch of the women's ministry that provides resources for those in need at Metro - hosted a bake sale fundraiser which was very successful, with 100% of the proceeds going to support Metro women and families.
Most recently, our High School Ministry had a sale to raise money to attend the CHIC youth conference in July. Our students came out excited and in full "sales mode" to help sell the baked goods, which would help reduce the financial obstacle required to attend the conference. Thanks to all who came out and supported our students; and a special thanks to pastor Clayton Chan and all the other pastors and leaders who invest their time with them! Below are just some goodies we had available, and if you missed out this time, don't worry - to further support their trip, we will be having another bake sale on Sunday, July 8!
And, of course, with Father's Day coming up, you can expect our caring hands ministry will be out in the hall providing a wonderful selection of treats to purchase for our Metro fathers. Here is a sneak peek at what you can expect leading up to and on Father's day on Sunday, June 17.
