When did you start attending Metro?
I started attending Metro in September 2016 after searching over the summer for a new church home. Pastor Peter's transparency really struck a chord with me on my first visit and I decided to attend for several months consecutively before deciding to call Metro home.

What do you like about Metro?
I love the diversity of Metro in all areas, and the genuine humility of our community, leadership, and pastoral staff. I love that our basic premise for transformation starts with the fact that we are all broken but beloved by our Abba and that we are called to love and serve each other.

What ministries are you involved with? What about those ministries made you want to serve?
I serve on the Welcome Team because I really want to greet our existing community and newcomers as Jesus would - with a warm smile and a genuine joy to see them come before our Father, to make them feel loved and welcomed no matter what kind of day or week they've had but to come with an expectant heart! I also serve on the Prayer Team and feel so humbled and thankful to be able to pray with my fellow brothers and sisters. Lastly, I serve in the Caring Ministry – a part of the Women's Ministry – basically just doing whatever I 'm asked to do!

What do you do outside of Metro?
Outside of Metro, I work full time at Holy Name Medical Center's Breast Imaging Department as an administrative supervisor. I 'm married and have two amazing kids who love the Lord! I enjoy reading good books, taking long walks with my dog, Coco, and spending time with family and fellow sisters in Christ!

What does transformation mean to you? Have you seen or experienced transformation through Metro?
2 Corinthians 18 says: "And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord's glory, are being transformed into His image with ever in-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit." Transformation to me means growing in maturity through the Holy Spirit's guidance through God's word to be more Christ like. It means opening myself up to fully receive His Grace and then imparting that to others around me. Metro has definitely been the impetus to my healing journey. It's been a long process and I'm still learning and growing.

What is one thing you want people to know about you?
I want people to know that I don't believe in accidents or coincidences in a Christian's life! We have all been called to Metro in one way or another to impact and touch each other's lives and the surrounding communities... that we CAN make a difference together!

What brings you the most joy?
There are many things that bring me joy but probably good friends are at the top of my list: sharing life with faith sisters is such a blessing!

Anything else you want to share?
Just a final note to anyone who is reading and feels alone in their burdens... Find someone to share them with! Even if it's just to come up for prayer during service – don't let the enemy keep you isolated in the belief that you are alone. You have a community in Metro IF you'll open your heart. God Bless!
