A team comes together...

The team going to Turkey the end of next month met this evening to plan for our ministry to the Syrian Refugees. Why are we going? For many, many reasons. In answer to the question, I'm going to Turkey, we answered....

Grace Kim: I want to meet the Syrian refugees.
Heather Ziegler: I want to learn how any of us at Metro can help.
Sarah Keh: I really care about the heartbreaking situation facing the Syrian refugees.
Aaron Baek: I feel that I am called to go and to a place that needs love the most.
Paul Lee: God has called us to serve our neighbors.
Linda Swanson: I hope to learn more about the refugees and learn from them, too.
Kevin Swanson: God is at work there and I want to be a part of his work.

We are going to Turkey in response to an invitation from a church close to the Syrian border that cares for refugees. They've asked that Metro consider an ongoing partnership to help the refugees through education and job development. We are the first team to respond to their request and our intention is to provide some help while investigating future possibilities of ministry.

Will you pray for us as we plan, prepare and go? Without you to send us with your prayers we will struggle to fulfill our calling.
